If you have not taken the opportunity to get to know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, do not let another moment pass without doing so. Romans 10:9-10 affirms, "If you CONFESS with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and BELIEVE in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be SAVED. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved" (Romans 10:9-10). Here the word tells us we MUST both CONFESS and BELIEVE to be SAVED. It's a sad reality that there are so many people, good people who attend church faithfully, yet never come to understand what their faith is truly based upon. Hosea 4:6 says my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Choosing to become a Christian is choosing to be like Jesus Christ. It’s acknowledging that Jesus died to cover the sins of the world; the sin we were born into that separated each of us from God. It’s realizing that through His death and resurrection we can be reunited with God, our creator, as his children. Just as God knew we needed a Savior,  He understands that we are flesh. He doesn't expect us to be perfect, but he does expect us to make a commitment to establishing a relationship with him. Again this begins with confessing and believing. These are the keys to becoming one with God, as a new creation, and spending eternity in heaven with him. If you are ready to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and become a Child of God, simply say this prayer in sincerity:

 

Heavenly Father, I realize that I am a sinner. I repent and ask your forgiveness of every sin I’ve committed. Right now I openly confess that I believe that Jesus died for my sins and rose again. Believing that He now lives, I ask Him to come into my heart and be the Lord of my life. Your word says that if I confess with my mouth and believe in my heart that You raised Jesus from the dead, I will be saved. I thank You that I am now a legitimate Child of God with my name written in the Lamb’s Book of Eternal Life, reserving my place in heaven. I also thank You because my life now belongs to You, in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen!

      

 After confessing this prayer with a genuine heart, YOU ARE NOW SAVED! Now that does not mean everything in your life will magically become perfect. You must allow God to gradually make changes. The next step is enhancing your relationship with God. In doing so it’s important to study His word to better understand Him. The bible also provides the answer to every problem that confronts you. It is also necessary to find a church to help strengthen your relationship with God. Remember it’s not about being a certain religion…It’s all about RELATIONSHIP!
